Terra Research has achieved a major breakthrough in semiconductor physics. In applying the "Dark Energy" or Zero Point Energy physics, a simple transistor was transformed such that it was able to operate at 2 GigaHertz with a quiescent power of 29 microwatts. This was a speed up of over 10x faster and a drop in power by over 1,000.
What facilitated the breakthrough is the use of the research technology developed by Terra Research - see Terra Research article Scientists in the Dark on Dark Matter & Dark Energy.
What this means to the electronics world is that a quantum jump in speed and cool operation can be achieved such that the current energy hungry laptops could transform into low power super machines without any change in process technology. In most cases, no die changes or chip changes are required. It is like getting two or three generations of technology advancement today for free without spending the billions on the two to three generations to match this from the future research and development.
